Head and Neck Surgery is most commonly known as ENT and is a diverse and dynamic speciality. Subspecialities include Head and Neck Surgery, Otology, Facial Plastic Surgery, Laryngolgy and Rhinology. You can see that a lot of different problems are therefore treated. A Rhinologist, for example, will see patients with blocked noses, facial pain, sinusitis , epiphora or somebody who is looking for cometic improvement of their nose.
Mr Mckiernan is an experienced ENT Surgeon, seeing patients from Cambridge and further afield. He has developed particular expertise in rhinoplasty surgery and frontal sinus and endoscopic sinus surgery and receives referrals From General Practitioners, colleagues seeking a second opinion and patients who have presented directly.

Mr Mckiernan qualified in 1989 and specialises in primary and revision functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty and complex sinus surgery and has busy private and NHS practices and is Consultant Surgeon to Addenbrookes and West Suffolk Hospitals of NHS trust.
He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, a member of the British Association of Otorhinolaryngologists – Head and Neck surgeons, a member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and also a member of European Rhinological Society. He is also a member of the British Rhinological Society and the British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngologists.
After completing his surgical training in London and Fellowships at European centres of excellence, he was appointed a Consultant in 2002. He established the Nose Clinic in 2003 at Addenbrookes.
